Since
our launch back in Spring 2001 our site has continued to develop
and expand rapidly as we pursue our aim of becoming the UK's
first port of call for Outdoor information.
We have continually looked to reaching new and wider audiences
through strategic advertising in the Outdoor media. This has
included regular listings in High, On The Edge and Summit
magazines; and quarter page adverts in Canoe Focus, the Climb
2001 programme, the 2003 Outdoor Show and The Outdoor Source
Book.
We have also benefitted from some very favourable mentions
in the editorial pages of On The Edge and Trail magazines
as well as featuring in the Times newspaper Careers supplement
(Spring 2005). We are also delighted to see ourselves mentioned
in the latest BMC Members Handbook as a recommended site for
those considering a career in the Outdoors.
We are currently forging links with some of the key professional
organisations involved in the Outdoors. This includes the
Institute for Outdoor Learning to whose members we offer a
50% discount on chargeable adverts. We help publicise this
discount by distributing fliers with Horizons magazine and
The Outdoor Source Book.
Another popular source of new visitors to our site is through
Internet search engines. A visit to some of the most popular
will show our site to be one of the first listed under the
key words associated with what we do. Rather than take our
word for it though, why not take a look for yourself ! Try

for a start . . .
Finally, a sure sign of a sites popularity is in the number
of other related sites that choose to link to it. We are very
proud of the large number of UK based webmasters who have
choosen to list us in their pages - including many high profile
National organisations - and we are always on the look out
