About Fairbridge

Thousands of young people have lost hope. Growing up in the most deprived areas in the country, they see no future for themselves. Many hide low self-esteem with aggression, drugs, alcohol or involvement in crime. All too often this all that society expects of them. At Fairbridge we believe that every young person has something of value inside them. Our challenge is to help them find it. We offer young people a fresh start, someone to believe in them and a chance to prove themselves. We combine long term personal support with practical learning experiences to tackle ingrained behaviour and attitudes and enable young people to develop personal, social and life skills.

This is a demanding role, which will offer you experience designing and delivering activities that offer development opportunities to some of the most challenging young people in the country. So it’s an ideal career move that will prepare you for whatever challenges you face in the future.
· A location to suit you – choose to work from any of our 15 centres across the UK.
· Permanent employment – you will receive a range of benefits including a holiday allowance starting at 28 days per year plus bank holidays, up to 4% employer pension contribution and job security

But we are constantly challenging what we do and how we do it: striving to be the best organisation in our sector. Each of our 15 teams is licensed by the Adventurous Activities Licensing Authority.
· The chance to broaden your experience – As well as challenging outdoor activities, you will get the opportunity to deliver a wide range of learning experiences. Witness testimony

After several seasons of working for Acorn i have worked my way up from a catering assistant to centre manager, no other industry would that happen. I worked hard and concentrated on giving the guests a great time and i received my rewards and i loved every minute, i had to work hard but it didn't feel like it at the time.
